Pamela Taylor

Pamela Taylor, Treasurer – Pam has over twenty years of experience with church financial operations.  As a CPA she has served as the church treasurer for both large and intimate congregations.  She served in other ministries that include the usher board, the counting ministry, hospitality and the finance committee.  She spent 10 years serving the youth ministry along-side her husband in his role as a youth minister.  Her professional background includes over 30 years as a finance executive in the non-profit organizations.

Robin Lewis

Robin Lewis serves as Director of the Outreach and Social Justice Ministry and assists on the Hospitality, Usher, and Counting Ministries.  Robin is passionate about outreach to African American and underserved communities through faith based and grassroots organizations. She works to help educate and engage residents to advocate for themselves against social and environmental injustices impacting their communities.  She represents BCC on the United Church of Christ (UCC) Climate Justice Council, Central Atlantic Conference (CAC) Environmental Legislative Group, and served as one of the 2017 CAC General Synod Delegates.  She currently consults as an environmental justice activist, advocate and community organizer for various non-profit organizations.  She is currently works with the non-profit Interfaith Power & Light (IPL) on educating African American churches about energy efficiency and solar resources in Prince George’s County and Baltimore City. Additionally, she is consulting on the National Wildlife Federation Sacred Grounds program to connect faith based organizations with nature by promoting wildlife through planting and growing native plants on their church grounds. She has also worked on other environmental campaigns including the ban on fracking in MD, the ridding of the threat of trash incineration in PG, and the of Zero Waste planning task force in PG.  Robin volunteers on the Southern Green Line Coalition, the Air and Climate Public Advisory Committee at the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, GW Cancer Institute LGBTQ Community Advisory Board, Prince George’s DoE’s Environmental Action Council; The Bethel House Board of Directors, Maryland Environmental Health Network Environmental Justice Legislative, and Stop Natural Gas Teams.  Robin has BA in Economics and MBA from Rutgers University, as well as a Masters in Sustainable Urban Planning with a concentration in Climate Change from George Washington University. Lastly, Robin lives in Camp Springs, MD and is the blessed mother of her 26 year old Joshua.
